Family Style Moroccan

A rustic barn complex on top of a hill with panoramic views in all directions was the setting for this family oriented wedding reception. Fizz & cordials were served to guests in the sunny courtyard. Colourful macarons were passed around and very quickly devoured!

To start:

• Roasted pepper & white bean hummus with flatbread & lavash crisps
• Middle–Eastern savoury & sweet spiced nuts (pictured)
• Moroccan chicken skewers (pictured)
• Spinach & feta filo pies (pictured)

Main course:

• Tagine of chicken with preserved lemons & olives
• Tagine of butternut squash, chick peas & spinach in a smoky tomato sauce
• Jewelled couscous
• Saffron rice with dried apricots, sultanas & toasted almonds
• Mixed leaves with pomegranate seeds and a pomegranate & honey dressing
• Smoky Moroccan carrot salad

Dessert:

• Citrus & almond cake with Greek yogurt & honey
• Flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis
