Section 01

General Terms

These terms and conditions apply to all orders and bookings placed with Truly Scrumptious Oxford. By placing an order or confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Truly Scrumptious Oxford reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The terms in force at the time of your booking will apply to your order.

Registered business: Truly Scrumptious Oxford, Oxford, Oxfordshire. All orders are subject to VAT at the current rate.

Section 02

Booking & Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is not confirmed until you have received written confirmation from Truly Scrumptious Oxford.

Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 2 weeks in advance of your event date.
Menu choices and any dietary requirements should be confirmed at the time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter.
Any changes to confirmed orders must be made in writing and are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for weekend events and larger gatherings, as availability can be limited.

Section 03

Payment

Standard payment terms are 15 days from the date of invoice. All prices are subject to VAT at the current applicable rate.

Depending on the nature and scale of the event, we may request a deposit of 20% to secure your booking. This will be outlined at the time of confirmation.

Late payment may result in interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act. We reserve the right to pursue outstanding balances through appropriate legal channels.

Section 04

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms will be clearly outlined upon confirmation of your booking and will depend on the nature and size of the event. The following general guidelines apply:

Cancellations made with sufficient notice may be eligible for a full or partial refund of any deposit paid.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event may result in a charge to cover costs already incurred.
Cancellations on the day of the event may be charged in full.
Where a deposit has been paid, cancellation charges will first be applied against the deposit held.

We understand that circumstances change. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or amend your booking — we will always try to work with you where we can.

Section 05

Delivery

Delivery for buffets and drop-off orders is within one hour of your requested time. If you require a more specific delivery window, please let us know at the time of booking.

Delivery charges are subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of your order. We will always communicate any variation to the standard charge before confirming your booking.

If you need delivery to a specific time — for example before a meeting starts — please flag this clearly when ordering and we will do our best to accommodate.

Section 06

Food, Allergens & Dietary Requirements

We take food safety and allergen management seriously. The following applies to all orders:

Please inform us of all dietary requirements and allergen needs at the time of booking.
Whilst we take every precaution, our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles the 14 major allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Allergen information is available on request for all menu items.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure that allergen information is communicated to their guests.
We are happy to cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements — please discuss your needs with us at the time of booking.

For guests with severe allergies, we recommend discussing requirements directly with us before confirming your order so we can advise appropriately.

Section 07

Liability

Truly Scrumptious Oxford carries appropriate public liability insurance. Our liability in relation to any booking is limited to the value of that booking.

We are not liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including adverse weather, traffic delays or supplier failures.
Food safety is our responsibility up to the point of delivery or service. Once food has been accepted and left our care, responsibility passes to the client.
We recommend that all food is consumed within the timeframes set out in any accompanying food safety guidance.
Claims arising from orders must be made in writing within 48 hours of the event.

Section 08

Event Catering — Additional Terms

For full event catering (as opposed to drop-off buffets and sandwich orders), the following additional terms apply:

A site visit may be required prior to the event, particularly for large or complex events.
Any equipment, crockery or linens supplied by Truly Scrumptious Oxford remain our property and must be returned in good condition.
The client is responsible for providing adequate space, facilities and access for our team to work safely.
Any damage to our equipment caused by third parties during your event may be charged to the client.
Our team reserves the right to refuse to work in conditions they consider unsafe.

A full event agreement will be provided for all event catering bookings, which will supersede these general terms where they differ.
